MetroKin is the planned Kinshasa Urban Train — a roughly 300 km, four-phase urban rail network for Africa's most populous city, financed by the Africa Finance Corporation with Alstom as technical partner. Phase 1 is a 25 km line from Kinshasa Central to N'Djili International Airport.
When will Kinshasa Urban Train (MetroKin) — Phase 1 open?
It is Phase 1 targeting 2026+. As with many large African rail projects, the timeline is ambitious and may slip.
